#Transmit error code 1231 manual
Sorry, that is a typo in my message above, and with manual config everything is working perfectly - it is just DHCP that is 'broken' at this point.ģ. Your manual config isn't working because you don't have a properly configured DNS server.

I had changed this prior to solving the driver issues, and will change it back since it obviously was not the source of my problems.Ģ. I was wondering about that, and only set it as such since a comment I read somewhere in my searches said it had to be within the DHCP range for the router to be working. change the address of the linksys to 192.168.1.9.you are in conflict with your DHCP range. The Linksys router is set to 'Gateway' under Advanced DNS settings.ġ. When I run ipconfig, there is an IP address assigned to the PC, but I am unable to ping the WRT54GS. I click the join button and it gives me a message saying I'm connected, but I can't get an internet connection, i.e., fire up Firefox, looking up. When I do a site survey, it finds the WRT54GS wireless (with correct MAC address). I followed the instructions in your first link. The WRT54G is several years old and port 1 is dead.

I have the PC and WRT54G connected through the PC's ethernet port and port 2 of the router. So I want to use the WRT54G as an ethernet bridge instead of running more cat5 cable to the new PC location. I had to move my PC away from my wired connection because of some basement remodeling. I have a WRT54GS as my main router (which is connected to my cable modem) and I flashed an old WRT54G (v2) with the WW DRT firmware. Help would be appreciated.I tried to do something similar last night. Show ipconfig shows a private IP address. Have tried 2 different modem/routers and a wireless router.
